To celebrate the launch of the “Skate It or Hang It!? The Evolution of Skateboard Art” exhibit at the Museum of Design Atlanta (MODA), Gerber Group’s Living Room, and Whiskey Park teamed up with MODA to host the official opening day after party, Skate It, Hang It or Drink It?!
On Saturday, June 16, the front driveway of W Atlanta – Midtown was transformed into a pop-up skate park featuring a demo by the 5boro team. Skate It, Hang It or Drink It?! attendees sat all along the Living Room patio to watch the demo and sip some drinks.
Later that night, party-goers grabbed their boards and headed upstairs to Whiskey Park, where the outdoor patio featured works from artists including Atlanta street photographer Rob Simmons. Guests mixed and mingled in Whiskey Park’s Crystal Lounge and danced to the beat of Atlanta phenom DJ Kidd Koby Roc as skate videos were projected on the glass walls.
