First, i wanna say how funny this is. Yall gettin worked up bought how slooooow the tricks are, how sketchy they are, and how we skate the same spots over and over again. well ta tell u the truth, i agree with all, but thats what makes baltimore skaters a bit different. We skate slow cause we want perfection and cleaness, and the fact that the ground sucks here and we've all skated a spot super fast, clipped a rock and died, so we did it again a lil slower. Our tricks are sketchy cause we try ta get harder ledge tricks in, therefore we have ta skate a bit slower. and we skate the same spots cause there some of the only spots, good concrete, rely fun, and you can do what ever you want and not worry about gettin kicked out.

but lets remember, this is about shops, not citys and states. i wanna say that NJ's got it goin on, goin big and all, but BMore's got tech. I givin it to BMore, A. Cause there all my bois, B. cause i their vid had very good tricks, and C. cause the tricks they did will be remembered for a while. Kickflipn a huge stair set or switch tre flippn a grass gap will only be remembered till the next person does it. rely technical stuff, on ledges, manny pads, and rails, well that will be remembered for a long time, cause its probably something that no one would no where to start to do the trick.

Division Easts video reminded me a lot of that Sub Zero video from back in the day, just straight up classic East Coast style, nothing I haven't seen before but classic and timeless regardless.Also got to give props to the guy with the ax skating the bowl(thats nuts!) and the fact they didn't have any pros in there part.

Vu Skate Shop had original tricks/lines and Brian Tucci! Where has that guy been hiding?! Some of the stuff was a little eehh but the stuff that was on was butter!

It all depends on what you like, they are both good, Vu's video was just more technical and creative.

PS: What Focus should have is the battle of the MD Shops, that would be interesting in more then 1 way.:)

DE, good song, nice fast skating, pretty good consistent filming.

VU, classic song, for a skate vid, not sure... Some of the dudes could go faster, however they did more tech tricks, Gary Smith is amazing, but that switch blunt varial hell, while tech, looks kinda weak when you land standing still on flat, but devils advocate, is he supposed to land that into the tranny?? When Daewon does those kind of tricks, he barely scrapes his front wheels down, so who knows.

The majority of the "tech skating" in the Vu clip is sloppier than than slopy seconds and the editing itself was not impressive whatsoever.

The DE clip, on the other hand, is visually pleasing, flows nicely, and has solid tricks. I would much rather watch the DE promo over the Vu clip.

Vu's got it in the bag! With only a day to film the video..I think the decision to go forward and do it shows they have balls. Chris and Gary.. hands down.. are running a great shop! It hasn't even been open a year and the shop attracts all kinds of skaters and its in a sick location..having a nice balance of attracting kids from the county as well as the city with an urban kind of a feel. It def keeps kids from the harsh streets of B-more and gives them hope to stick to something as sick as skating. I have seen it first hand and been to the shop..it's such an awesome vibe.
