Another fabulous contest took place this passed Sunday, November first, in the Lower East Side of N.Y.C.,which gave skaters something to look forward to. After a well-thought out weekend of getting intoxicated, raging, and candy hunting; Halloween Hellraiser was hosted by the man whose support helps keep NY skating alive, Billy Rohan. As well as his partner, Alex Corporan.
Thanks to everyone who came out!
3,000 dollars cash, and each skater who landed a wonderful-gnarly-riffic trick was guaranteed to accumulate wealth. You can't go wrong with $20-$100 a trick. Rippers were going in, making that bread. They also gave out $100 cash to the Best Costume. It was extravagant, cold, but lovely, and the tricks were hot!
Dan Pensyl came out, and busted out with the steezy backside flip and front bigspin on the kicker to bank. Shout outs to my son Kane Cameron on the come-up, sexually harassing the handrail with those grinds. Over-crook, fs feeble and bs feeble. Doing these difficult tricks effortlessly in a matter of no tries, making them look like 50-50's. Now that's what I'm talking about!
Kane Cameron - Frontside Feeble
Julian Heller came through with a killer front bigspin to backside board on the handrail. And as you can see in the photo a sweet back smith was nailed by this hungry Am.
Julian Heller - Backside Smith
Thanks to Billy and Alex, Nike SB, 5boro, KCDC, Redbull Skateboarding, Acapulco Gold, Autumn, Shut, Woodward, and CCS. I'd also like to thank the special guest, DJ Smoke L.E.S! Thanks for dropping the illest, wickedest old school tracks and tunes. Props man!
