Lets knockout the typical questions first. Where are you living and how old are you?
Charlotte, NC. And I am 20 years old.
What got you into skating?
My old crew; Brandon Raab, Colin Miller, and Greg Mazillo. We were always chillin, then one day Colin and Greg just kind of acquired boards. Then Brandon and I saw them, and I have been skating about everyday since then.
Who inspires you today?
The people I skate with; Eyes Like Static crew, old videos from the late 90s, and this video One Small Step always hyped me up.
Your old man owns a hip-hop club. Why not try and go that route? Why skating?
I didnt want something handed to me. I want to work to get my own thing going. Skating is what I truly love to do.
The Eyes Like Static video just dropped. Any good stories?
The night of the premiere, the crew and a couple other friends got a hotel room and you know we was drinking, and one of the dudes that worked there came to the room to see what was going on. Brandon, not knowing he worked there, was like What the fuck, get the fuck out of here. Then we found out he worked there, and knew he called the cops. So we got all of our stuff and walked out the door. We saw the cops pulling up, about two or three cars, so we ended up sneaking out the back, and one of the cops went right by us not knowing it was us. So we got away scot-free, stealth mode, and finished the party at one of my boys cribs.
How do you maintain such a good attitude, when so many people hate in this industry?
Really, I just skate and I dont keep up with the hype. Just trying to keep it on a positive note. Its not a competition, its freedom.

How was demo life this summer?
Fun. Traveling around the East Coast, meeting new people, hanging with the Saturday team. Just skating new stuff is always fun.
Yeah. And how did you, Justin Pittman, and Brandon Trammell get beds on your first trip, while the older guys slept on the floor?
Well, the first night we ended up sleeping on the beach, and the second night I slept in the chair. So, Im passing the buck on this one to Brandon, Justin, and Drew Adams.
Charlotte has always been kind of underground in the skate world, but I have a feeling that this is starting to change. Any words on this?
Yeah. Charlotte's skate scene is coming up cause a lot of the skaters here want it, and at the same time theyre keepin it positive and fun, you know. Its just a matter of time.
This is where you get to show some love to your crew.
So many people! I wanna give a shout out to my boy Brandon Raab, Daniel Eubanks I know youre smiling down from heaven (R.I.P.), the whole Eyes Like Static crew, Josh and Dieter at Black Sheep, you (Joseph ONeal), Dave Collier and Mark Brooks at Saturday Skateboards, the old Sweet n Low crew, and the G-Skate crew.
